Structerre delivered a professional and multi-disciplinary service throughout the development of this project providing geotechnical investigations, preparing the design and necessary documentation for a new private pump station and 500 meter long rising main for wastewater disposal, as well as the structural needs to fit the architectural requirements set out by the client. The structural elements of the project included a complex combination of masonry, pre-cast concrete, steel and timber framing and aluminium cladding. The proximity to the coastline warranted specialist attention to durability aspects of the clubhouse’s design. The architectural design consists of a wide spanning, slim line sloping roof that connects to a slanting exterior wall. In order to achieve this minimal aspect, and provide ample support to the structure, a number of complex design solutions were employed.
